Surprise Spring Training season unveils exciting lineup of events and promotions

Surprise Stadium will host 30 games this season. Opening day is Friday, February 23, with the Kansas City Royals taking on the 2023 World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers. Surprise Stadium will be host to plenty of exciting matchups to include the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and the National League Champions, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic: February 16 - 19
Surprise Stadium is host to the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic, featuring the Oregon State Beavers, New Mexico Lobos, CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners and Minnesota Golden Gophers.  

Mayor’s Welcome Back Reception presented by Dental Depot: February 21
Mayor Skip Hall will kick off the City of Surprise Spring Training season, featuring representatives from the Kansas City Royals and 2023 World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers. The event will take place from 4 - 6 p.m. and tickets are $30. Space is limited. 

Resident Appreciation Days: February 23 - March 15
We’d like to thank our community with two Baseline tickets for $20 for any Classic or Standard game. Offer may be redeemed with Photo ID at the box office or with online promo code: RESIDENT 

Surprise Sundancers Charity Game: February 24
Support your Surprise Sundancers, a non-profit organization that provides volunteer services at Surprise Stadium. Proceeds from the game are donated to the Sundancers who award youth scholarships to those in Surprise and the Northwest Valley. 

Kids Free Weekend courtesy of Dental Depot: February 24 & 25
Make family memories at the ballpark! Get up to two free kids’ tickets (15 & younger) with the purchase of one adult ticket to opening weekend at Surprise Stadium. Select seating. Offer must be redeemed by phone or in person at the ticket office.  

Stadium Tailgate Party – A World Series Celebration: February 25 
The excitement of the World Series championship continues at Surprise Stadium with a special World Series trophy appearance, Hall of Fame induction and post-game fun at the Stadium tailgate party! It’s an all-star celebration you won’t want to miss!   

Dental Depot Family Fun Pack: February 25, March 3 & 17 
Get four lawn tickets, four drinks, four value hot dogs and four popcorns for $50. Family four packs must be purchased in advance; offer will not be available for purchase day of the game. 

Storytime at Surprise Stadium: February 28, March 6 & 13
Join our Surprise Public Library System and experience the magic of storytime at the stadium! Enjoy literacy-focused activities, story time and a Spring Training game from the lawn. Tickets are $5, (children aged 5 & under are free) and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited.  

Spring Training 5K & 1K Fun Run: March 1
The City of Surprise is bringing fun to running at Surprise Stadium on Friday, March 1, with the 6th Annual Surprise Spring Training 5K & 1K Fun Run presented by Palm Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Catch the early registration rate and sign up now! 

Sensory Awareness Day presented by T.E.A.M. 4 Kids: March 2
Surprise Stadium and T.E.A.M. 4 Kids have teamed up to bring Sensory Awareness Day, a more sensory-friendly game day experience with a special ticket offer in the designated sensory-sensitive lawn area. T.E.A.M. 4 Kids will provide sensory stations and quiet area where attendees can take a break when needed.  

Pup Nights at Surprise Stadium presented by Chance Shelter: March 5 & 20
Pups just want to have fun - at the ballpark that is! Skip the dog park and enjoy the game with fellow dog lovers from our pup lawn section. All proceeds from pup tickets sold will be donated to Chance Shelter. NOTE: Each pup MUST have a “pup” specific ticket. Handlers/owners are limited to one dog per paid “handler” ticket. 

Movie Night featuring “The Sandlot” presented by Coulter Nissan: March 8
Catch “The Sandlot” on the new, state-of-the-art videoboard at Surprise Stadium after the matchup featuring the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. Game starts at 1:05 p.m.  

Fireworks Night presented by Sanderson Ford & Sanderson Lincoln: March 14
Get ready to enjoy the crack of the bat and anticipation leading up to the post-game fireworks! Fireworks will start approximately 15 minutes after game has concluded. 

Spring Breakout: March 14 & 17
MLB Spring Breakout is a special event showcasing baseball’s future – the current stars of Minor League Baseball. Purchase of Spring Training game ticket will include complimentary admission to corresponding Spring Breakout game.  

Out of the Park Music Fest: March 23
A music festival celebrating the end of Spring Training in Surprise! Stay tuned for more details at OutOfTheParkMusicFest.com. 

Kids Run the Bases presented by Uptown Alley: Every Sunday
Following every Sunday game, Spring Training’s youngest fans get to take the field! Each participant will receive a special prize, courtesy of Uptown Alley.

The Surprise Stadium Box Office will open for in-person ticket sales on Saturday, February 3, 2024, beginning at 8 a.m. AZ time. The box office is located at 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
