Surprise Stadium is proud to recognize seven exceptional educators as recipients of the 2026 Surprise Stadium Breakout Teacher Award presented by The Window Depot. Celebrated during Educator Week at Spring Training, this award shines a spotlight on teachers who go above and beyond to shape the next generation and strengthen our community through excellence in education.

The Breakout Teacher Award reflects a shared commitment to championing local educators and honoring those who make a lasting impact in the classroom. These teachers represent the very best of Surprise, dedicated professionals who lead with passion, care deeply for their students and inspire success every day.

2026 Breakout Teacher Award Honorees

Sunday, March 15 - Brandi Moore, Shadow Ridge High School

Mrs. Moore is a dedicated teacher who truly cares about her students. Her unwavering support, encouragement and positive attitude ensure every student feels valued and motivated to learn.

Monday, March 16 - Kendra Sanborn, Willow Canyon High School

Known for her passion for forensic science, Ms. Sanborn brings learning to life through engaging, hands-on labs. Her classroom fosters curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning.

Tuesday, March 17 - Shelby Bach, Asante Elementary

A fourth-grade teacher who leads with kindness and dedication, Mrs. Bach creates a classroom environment where students feel supported, valued and excited to grow.

Wednesday, March 18 - Jacob Sullivan, Dysart High School

An outstanding Algebra teacher, Mr. Sullivan ensures his students feel confident and capable with the material they are learning. His engaging, positive classroom environment has earned him respect from both students and colleagues.

Thursday, March 19 - Adolfo Gonzalez, Shadow Ridge High School

Señor Gonzalez inspires students to love learning while building strong relationships that drive success. His encouragement and passion leave a lasting impression on every student he teaches.

Friday, March 20 - Theron Frazer, Shadow Ridge High School

Coach Frazer is both an exceptional teacher and an incredible coach. He pushes students and athletes alike to work hard, aim high and become their very best.

Saturday, March 21 - Cammy Knapps, ALA Elementary

An eighth-grade teacher at ALA Elementary and varsity pom coach at Shadow Ridge High School, Mrs. Knapps is admired for the care, support and dedication she brings to her students each day.

Throughout Spring Training’s Educator Week, each honoree will be recognized at Surprise Stadium in front of fans and community members, reinforcing the vital role educators play in building a strong future for Surprise.
