Stretch of Bullard Ave closed near Surprise Stadium 2/23 - 3/30 for Spring Training & other events

These closures may affect your traditional route (but will not limit access to) the library, Surprise City Court, the Tennis and Racquet Complex, Aquatic Center, Surprise Community Park and dog park, City Hall, etc.

Alternate routes:

• From Bell Road heading south on Bullard Avenue, traffic will be detoured east on Paradise Lane, around the curve to travel west on Tierra Buena Lane.
• From Greenway Road heading north on Bullard Avenue, traffic will be detoured east on Tierra Buena Lane, around the curve to travel west on Paradise Lane.
• The Surprise Stadium parking lot is limited to access from Paradise Lane to Buck O’Neil Way.

Even with this closure in place, the City would like to remind drivers to slow down, pay attention to the road and be mindful of pedestrians so the community can enjoy these events safely!

We hope the community will join us as we celebrate the following events at the Surprise Recreation Campus during this time:

• Spring Training – Spring Training runs February 23 - March 23 at Surprise Stadium. Opening day will feature the Kansas City Royals taking on the 2023 World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers. Surprise Stadium will host 30 games this season with plenty of exciting matchups to include the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and the National League Champions, the Arizona Diamondbacks. Plus, there’s a lineup of unforgettable experiences this season from pup nights to fireworks! Schedule and ticket information is available at SurpriseStadium.com.
• Out of the Park Music Festival – The City will host Out of the Park Music Fest on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2 - 10 p.m. at Mark Coronado Park next to Surprise Stadium. The festival will close out the Spring Training season and feature local and national music acts, a beer garden, food trucks, yard games, cornhole tournament and activities for the whole family. Tickets start at $20. Surprise residents can get two General Admission tickets for only $20. Purchase tickets by February 29 to take advantage of this special deal. Use coupon code: SURPRISE! • Eggstravaganza – This free event is Saturday, March 30, from 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Surprise Stadium. Residents will enjoy inflatables, face painting, a special appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Bunny and a series of egg hunts filled with fun toys and treats. Egg hunt times vary based on age.
