Surprise Spring Training – week one guide
Feb 13, 2025The 23rd edition of Spring Training in Surprise will start on Friday, February 21, with the Kansas City Royals hosting the Texas Rangers at 1:05 p.m.
Here is what to know before you go to Surprise Stadium for all the action:
Pre-Game Preparation
- Entry gates open 90 minutes before game time
- Surprise Stadium is 100% cashless
- Parking is free - view road closure and parking map
- Bag policy:
- Approved Bags
- Clear Tote: Plastic, vinyl and not to exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
- Small Clutch Purse: No larger than 5" x 8" with or without strap
- Plastic Storage Bag: Clear, one (1) gallon, re-sealable
- Approved Bags
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection upon entering. Please limit the number of items you bring to the stadium.
Parking is FREE!
For pedestrian safety, Bullard Avenue will be closed south of Paradise Lane to north of Tierra Buena Lane from February 14 to March 23. Fans attending games can access the stadium parking lot:
- From Bell Road by going south on Parkview Place or Bullard Avenue to Paradise Lane
- From Greenway by going north on Parkview Place to Paradise Lane
Additional parking is located north of Paradise Lane and south of Tierra Buena Lane. For details, please see the parking and closure map.
Game Day Ticket Scanning
Remember to download and save the tickets to the MLB Ballpark app prior to game day!
Step 1: Open your mobile ticket via the MLB Ballpark app prior to entering the gate area
Step 2: Scan your ticket using the scanner at the entry gate and you’re in!

Surprise residents can get two Baseline tickets for $20 for any Classic or Standard game! Must provide a photo ID at box office or use the online promo code: RESIDENT2025.

All military and first responders receive 50% off discounted tickets for select games. Offer includes tickets in select seating areas and excludes premium games. A limit of four tickets per transaction. Show your military ID or proof of eligibility at the Box Office or use promo code MILITARY2025 online.
Kids Free Weekend courtesy of Dental Depot: February 22 & 23
Get up to two free kids' tickets (15 & younger) with the purchase of one adult ticket for either game. Select seating available. Offer must be redeemed by phone or in person at the ticket office.
Kids Run the Bases courtesy of Uptown Alley: Sunday, February 23
Following the Sunday game, kids get to take the field and run the bases! Each participant will receive a special prize, courtesy of Uptown Alley.
Family Fun Pack courtesy of Palm Valley Pediatric Dentistry: Sunday, February 23
Four lawn tickets, four drinks, four value hot dogs and four popcorns for $50. Family Fun Packs must be purchased in advance. This offer will not be available for game day purchase.
Senior Discount Days courtesy of Vineyard Park of Surprise: Tuesday, February 25
Every Tuesday, fans age 50 and older may purchase select tickets for non-premium games at half-price. Tickets must be purchased in advance. This offer will not be available for game day purchase.
Surprise Sundancers Charity Game: Tuesday, February 25
Support the Surprise Sundancers, a non-profit organization of over 750 members who provide volunteer services at Surprise Stadium. Proceeds are donated to the Sundancers who award youth scholarships in Surprise and the Northwest Valley.

Experience the magic of reading and exciting tales at the stadium! Join the Surprise Regional Library staff for pre-game Storytime in the Stadium. Tickets are $5 – children aged five & under are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited.
